Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
We will hold a family-friendly service of lessons, carols, and candlelight tonight, December 24th at 7:30 PM. Join us to share in the spirit of the season!
Can you help with farolitos on Christmas Eve?
We need a few volunteers to assemble and place farolitos around the front of the church on Christmas Eve. If you can help, please talk to Property Chair Ladd Daniel.
Welcome our New Music Director: Caitlin Alexander!
Session and the Music Director Search Committee are SO excited to introduce you to our new Music Director: Caitlin Alexander! Caitlin is a local musician and art and music teacher and who has experience with a variety of musical traditions, including classical music and folk music from several cultures. Look for more information and a more complete bio in future newsletters.
Caitlin’s first Sunday will be January 11th, and we will host a welcome reception for her after worship. Save the date and join us as we welcome this new member to our church family.
Food for NEST
Our church will be continuing the commitment to provide meals for NEST. We do this on the fourth Thursday every month. It is time to schedule volunteers for 2026. Three volunteers are needed every month. Please see the sign-up posters on the Mission bulletin board when you enjoy food and fellowship after the church service.
Annual Congregational Meeting & Potluck
We will hold our annual congregational meeting and potluck in the back building on Sunday, January 18th, 2026, immediately following worship. We’ll gather to receive the annual report, vote on Pastor Compensation for 2026, and celebrate all that God has done in the life and ministry of our church in the last year. Look for a food sign-up sheet in worship in the coming weeks.

Come Sign Mark’s Farewell Book During Office Hours!
We know that many people did not get the chance to write a note in Mark’s farewell book at his party. If you’d like to leave a note for Mark, come by the church during office hours. The book is located in the main office, and we’d love to have everyone sign.
Book Club
The next Book Club meeting is Thursday, January 8th in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, Potluck at 5:00 PM and the book discussion at 5:30 PM. If you have not joined us in person for a while, we now bring our own plates, silverware, drink and a dish to share for the potluck.

A Baby Shower for Pastor Ginna
The Congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Taos is invited to a Baby Shower for Pastor Ginna on February 14, 2026 (Valentine’s Day) at 3:30 PM in the Coffee Room of the Church (Main Building).
Here are the details:
Sponsored by PW – Ask Ann Gastineau or Ada Randall your questions
For a gift we will, as a community, give Ginna a mid-range stroller/car seat combo she has requested. Its cost is around $400. Checks to contribute to the stroller should be written to PW and given to Ann, Ada or Valerie (office). Donations are anonymous and other individual gifts for Ginna are at your discretion and should be given at a different time. We plan to give one gift that day from all of us!

Centering Prayer
A Centering Prayer Group is forming in Taos, sponsored by Contemplative Outreach. Starting November 12, the group will gather weekly in the St. James Parish Hall Santiago Room, 208 Camino de Santiago, Taos from 2-3 PM. Mother Mandy at St James has offered to host it, and Ursula Beck will be coordinating thru the statewide Contemplative Outreach Group. They will facilitate learning videos from Father Keating followed by Prayer. All are welcome.
Shared Table Needs Your Bags & Help
Shared Table needs your grocery store paper bags, plastic bags and cardboard egg cartons. Please drop off these items at El Pueblito Methodist Church, 1309 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte. You can leave them by the front door anytime. And come by Tuesday, January 6th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am to help pack boxes of food. Distribution Day is Wednesday, January 7th, 8:30 – 11:00 AM at El Pueblito Methodist Church in El Prado and, 2 to 3 PM at Talpa Community Center.
