MISSION & VISION

God is calling us to be a church that loves and serves all people.

WHO WE ARE

First Presbyterian Church of Taos seeks to extend a welcome worthy of the calling we have received in Jesus Christ to welcome both friends and strangers as brothers, sisters, siblings, and neighbors.

We welcome people of all races, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, classes, abilities, and life experiences, into membership and our Christian life together.

We welcome diversity as a gift that helps us better live as the Body of Christ and embody the Kingdom of God.

The only requirements for membership at First Presbyterian Church of Taos are a profession of trust in God’s grace in Jesus Christ and a desire to become part of the fellowship and ministry of Christ’s church.

If you are interested in becoming a member, let Pastor Ginna, an Elder or Deacon of the church know of your interest.

We would love to have you as part of our community! First Presbyterian Church of Taos seeks to extend a welcome worthy of the calling we have received in Jesus Christ to welcome both friends and strangers as brothers, sisters, siblings, and neighbors.

We worship…

  • In joy-filled proclamation of word
  • In music that both comforts and inspires
  • In varieties of worship gatherings
  • Always around a table where all are welcome

We learn more …

  • In studying scripture to inform and mature our faith
  • In spiritual education for young though not so young
  • In equipping all to do the work of Christ
  • In providing lifelong teaching/learning/fellowship opportunities

We follow…

  • In demonstrating the liberating power of the Gospel in our life each day
  • In feeding, clothing, comforting and healing any in need; locally and globally
  • In welcoming with love the stranger, the lonely and the bereaved
  • In providing a meeting place of caring and acceptance for our greater Taos community

We best serve Christ by loving all!
