MUSIC
Worship our Savior through song!
CHOIR
If you love to sing you would be welcome in the church choir. A dozen or so singers offer special music in Sunday worship and rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
HANDBELLS
If you read music and would enjoy making handbell music with a group, check out the handbell choir. This fun group frequently offers Sunday introits and rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary balcony.
ORGAN & PIANO
Keyboard musician extraordinaire Brian Uerling offers wonderfully worshipful preludes and postludes as well as accompaniment to hymns and special music. Brian has toured with choirs in Europe and was fortunate to play the cathedral organ for Evensong at St. Paul’s, London as well as playing at Notre Dame. He was the New Mexico Music Educator Association’s “Music Educator of the Year” in 201, and was inducted into their “Hall of Fame” in 2021.
SPECIAL GUEST MUSICIANS
Taos is rich in musical talent and many local musicians enrich our worship with their talents. Regular guests have included Kim Bakkum, Elizabeth Calvert, Mark Dudrow, Julie Norem-Hawley, Martha Shepp and others.
CONCERTS
Our friends at the Taos Opera Institute, Taos Community Chorus, and other groups enjoy our sanctuary’s excellent acoustics for community concerts and rehearsals.
